Club Listings - January 2004

RUDE is about R’n’B, Theatre, Intimacy and Style. A complete experience with quality performers, DJ’s, hosts, dancers and with a unique fusion of soundtracks, classic and contemporary. RUDE events will be taking place throughout the UK in 2003, with the southern flagship of these events being in the intimate seafront surroundings of Brighton’s most famous dance venue, The Zap. RUDE is across two decorative rooms, with the like of Kiss FM’s DJ Swerve, Big Ted, Shortee Blitz and Firin Squad and Radio 1’s DJ Spoony playing host to the very cream of the UK and US RnB scenes in the main room. There will be a heavy emphasis on surprise live performances every week. Room 2 is ‘Heritage’, and as the name suggests, this room is all about where we’ve come from – with Richie D and guests blending a quality selection of classic UK & US Garage, with the live element here supplied by host Dapz a dee and percussionist Tam.
